Slate Ridge faculty and staff extend a warm welcome to our learners and their families as they re-enter or become part of the Slate Ridge community. We believe that learners in our educational community will be provided with ample opportunities to explore, learn, grow and be challenged in a safe, nurturing environment. As we explore this new and hopefully temporary model of learning, please remember that we are all in this together. Let’s support one another so that our kids are successful!
Strong parent partnerships and open communication are essential for student success. We look forward to working with you this year to develop your child’s maximum potential. Also, we encourage your direct and frequent participation in activities at the school to make Slate Ridge a better place for everyone. Remember that you can stay connected through our website, classroom web pages, Twitter, and Facebook.
Slate Ridge Toucans are:
Slate Ridge Elementary is a close-knit PBIS school that intertwines fun and adventure into our learning. Each week, we hold a building assembly called the RISE which allows us to come together as a school and celebrate students’ achievements, as well as focus on important issues and initiatives going on in our school at that time. Slate Ridge focuses on providing students what they need to be successful. Instead of expecting them to fit into our environment, we change the environment to best accommodate them. Students first!
At Slate Ridge we know our students so well that we are able to personalize their learning experience academically, socially and emotionally in order to nurture the needs of the whole child.
